Bal Sahyog is a children's world. It is an expanse of
love, care and compassion. An organization dedicated to the protection of dignity
of a child. It is committed to provide overall development opportunities and participation
of children in their care, welfare and protection. Bal Sahyog is a non-partisan
and social welfare organization registered under the Societies Registration Act
1860. The Department of Social Welfare, Government of NCT of Delhi has recognized
Bal Sahyog as a Children Home for children in need of care and protection under
the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000.
Background Late
Prime Minister of India Srimati Indira Gandhi who was also the first chairperson
of Bal Sahyog Society started Bal Sahyog as a premier national organization in
1954. The organization was a novel experiment in field of 'child welfare'. Since its inception it remains an organization that has been
nurtured under the vision and guidance of the Prime Ministers of India. The Patron
of Bal Sahyog is ex-officio the Prime Minister of India.
